A violin and a dream: Miri Ben-Ari

Remember that curly coiffed, amazingly talented violinist who rocked it out with Jay Z on the Summer Jam 2001 stage? Miri Ben-Ari sound familiar? To call her original doesn’t do her justice. The music she creates with her violin is one-of-a-kind — unmatched. But the magic doesn’t stop there. Not only does she perform — she writes and produces too! Get this — she wrote, arranged, produced and performed all of the strings on Kanye West’s ‘College Dropout!” Who does that?

Dubbed ‘The Hip Hop Violinist,’ the Grammy winning Israeli beauty and musical genius is still wowing crowds with her unique take on a classic art. Her combination of tradition, modern and future stimulates audiences and inspires.

Transcending barriers with her own spin, she’s worked with  Kanye West, Wyclef Jean, Alicia Keys, Maroon 5 and John Legend, to name a few. And in March, First Lady Michelle Obama invited Ben-Ari to perform at the annual celebration of Women’s History Month at the White House.

Some of the most amazing artists sometimes fly under the mainstream radar. Shame! Miri is amazing and we think everyone needs to embrace her talent.
