Little fish swimming deeper at The Shops at Target

You’ve probably seen the commercials, and if you’ve been to a Target store recently, you’ve noticed the signs and products. We’re talking about the small, local shops that are featured in Target stores and on target.com, better known as The Shops at Target. We love the concept and the product offerings! It’s always nice to the little fish swim to much deeper waters. By little fish, we mean small boutiques — zero reflection the power each one packs. Why else would Target choose them?

Round one kicked off earlier in May and round two is slated to roll out in September. It’s pretty exciting from both the shopper and business owner perspective. The exposure is amazing for the businesses. It’s the perfect chance for each to seize the moment and tap audiences they may have never had the privy of reaching otherwise. And because we live in such a connected world, that exposure doesn’t have to stop at one. Viral marketing at it’s best, right.

The first installment included San Francisco’s The Candy Store, Aspen, Colo.’s Cos Bar, Boston’s Polka Dog Bakery, Connecticut’s Privet House and Miami’s The Webster. Participating shops for this fall include: Kirna Zabete and Odin, San Francisco’s The Curiosity Shoppe and Boston’s PATCH NYC.
